6 Reasons to Add Red Aspen Hand Cream to Your Everyday Skincare Routine

If you had to narrow down a single must-have for your purse or makeup bag, a quality hand cream should easily top that list. Like your favorite facial cleanser or body lotion, some items just can’t be skipped over, especially if you hope to keep your skin looking and feeling its best.

Infused with nourishing ingredients that can quickly repair and replenish dry and damaged skin, a moisturizing hand cream can be irreplaceable. Our hands are often neglected, and between constant sun exposure and everyday activities, the skin on our hands goes through a lot during a typical 24-hour period. In this blog, we’ll talk more about what makes hand cream so important, with a special shout out to the wonderful things Red Aspen Hand Cream can do for your skin. Here are six not-so-secret reasons to add Red Aspen Hand Cream to your everyday skincare routine.

Reasons to Love Red Aspen Hand Cream

There are many reasons to love a high-quality hand cream and, like most skincare products, the market is fiercely competitive. There are thousands of products out there all promising the same results, and it can be tough to sort through the lemons to find a hand lotion or cream that works the way you need it to. This is especially true if you suffer from excessively dry or sensitive skin, as this often means taking a more careful approach to the listed ingredients to ensure they won’t irritate your skin.

With an ultra-moisturizing, daily-use formula meant to hydrate and condition the skin, nails, and cuticles, Red Aspen Hand Cream stands out among the best hand creams available. From its ability to deeply moisturize dry and flaky skin to its fragrance-free formula, and powerful, high-quality ingredients, here are a few of the benefits of Red Aspen Hand Cream at a glance.

The Best Hand Cream for Extremely Dry Skin

No matter your lifestyle or profession, your hands are exposed to a number of environmental and chemical stressors. As one of the most-used parts of your body, they come into contact with everything from daily dirt and debris to harsh soaps and chemicals, despite your best efforts to keep them clean! Hand washes and sanitizers can quickly strip away natural oils, and cold-weather trips to the grocery store can have their own effects on your skin as well. In short, your palms, fingers, and cuticles are constantly at risk of losing valuable moisture.

Left unchecked, these everyday stressors can lead to extremely dry skin. Not only is this frustrating, but it can be downright painful, as super dry skin can quickly flake, peel, or crack under the worst conditions. Keeping your skin moisturized is an exercise in self-care, making Red Aspen Hand Cream the ultimate solution to soothe very dry skin. Pomegranate extract helps to enrich your skin with antioxidants and omegas to reduce skin dryness. At the same time, you’ll enjoy the moisture-retaining power of sunflower seed oil, leaving your hands feeling soft, supple, and thoroughly hydrated.

The Perfect Hand Cream to Protect and Repair Damaged Skin

Did you know that our hands actually age faster than our faces? It’s one of the stranger facts of life, but it’s true nonetheless! Think about it, if our faces can develop fine lines and wrinkles just from frowning, squinting, and smiling throughout the day, imagine the potential for wrinkles on our hands. Look back on how often you hold your phone, grip a steering wheel, or do some general lifting around the house.

Put simply, your hands are constantly moving. Combined with the fact that the skin on your hands is thinner than the skin on your face, you can understand why your hands are one of the first indicators of the aging process. Sure, aging is unavoidable, but that doesn’t mean you have to stress over how visibly (or gracefully) your skin ages along with you. By investing in the best hand cream from the start, you can repair damaged skin as it occurs. In addition, you can help return elasticity to your skin for more youthful-looking hands, basking in all the confidence that comes with it.

Skin-soothing Ingredients Including Shea Butter

Without a doubt, one of the most important factors for rating the effectiveness of a particular brand of hand cream is how well it hydrates your skin. When you pop onto Google and type in something like “hydrating hand cream” or “best hand cream for dry hands,” you want something that tops the list of those search results.

In an ideal world, this means you also want to look for a hand cream with key moisturizing ingredients like shea butter. Using shea butter regularly helps to soothe dry skin and retain skin moisture, giving your hands a soft and silky texture. Not only that, but shea butter is absolutely loaded with antioxidants and anti-inflammatory agents, giving it a rightful place in some of the richest, most tried-and-true hand creams available.

A Splendid Complement to Your Self-tanning Routine

One little-known fact about hand creams is how well they can work as part of a self-tanning routine. More specifically, hand creams are a great final step in achieving a great fake tan. Whether you prefer dabbling in tanning drops or mixing it up with tanning mousse, a quality hand cream can create the perfect skin barrier to protect your newly tanned skin from environmental stressors. Not to mention, you get a healthy dose of hydration for those extra dry spots, namely your elbows, knees, and ankles. Just don’t forget to grab the right self-tanning accessories along the way!

Let’s be real, unless you live on the beach or within a few miles of some big body of water, you’re probably not going out of your way to lay out and soak up the sun for days or weeks at a time. This goes double for those who live in hotter or colder climates where too much time outside can damage or dry out your skin more quickly. If you’re among the millions of women and men who still want that sun-kissed glow year-round, a fabulous fake tan is often the answer. That being the case, you owe it to yourself to invest in Red Aspen Hand Cream, as the ultra-moisturizing formula is the ideal path toward a more natural and buildable tan.

A Fast-absorbing and Fragrance-free Formula

Imagine for a moment that you find the perfect hand cream, one that solves all your previously unsolvable hand cream problems. It doesn’t feel greasy, it absorbs quickly, and it’s tailor-made for dry skin. There’s just one problem: it reeks.

If there’s one beauty dilemma that never ceases to annoy, it’s when you find a product that works oh-so-perfectly, but makes you and those around you want to plug their nose. Worse yet, beauty is inherently subjective and personal, meaning what smells like death to you might smell like heaven to someone else, and vice versa.

Thankfully, there’s an easy solution. By opting for a fragrance-free hand cream like Red Aspen Hand Cream, you get all the moisturizing and nourishing benefits of a quality hand cream without the dreaded skincare stench. Better still, you get a non-greasy, fast-absorbing formula that can deeply hydrate even the most dry winter skin, rich in antioxidants and key ingredients like Vitamin E to soothe and protect aging hands.

Nourishment for Your Nails and Cuticles

It’s no secret that the most popular hand creams all have one thing in common: they’re exceptional at nourishing not only the skin on your hands, but the nails and cuticles as well. While it might be tempting to reach for your favorite body lotions or body cream when it’s time for a little TLC on your hands, the truth is that these formulas won’t be up to the job. Most notably, the skin on your cuticles is much more delicate, requiring a specialized product to deliver the right amount of moisture with a gentle touch.

With Red Aspen Hand Cream, you have a product designed to pamper your hands and cuticles from the get-go, infused with good-for-you ingredients to promote healthier and more youthful nails. The end result is a hand cream you’ll want to keep anywhere and everywhere, from your purse to your car, makeup bag, and even your desk at work!

Pamper Your Skin with Luxurious Hand Cream from Red Aspen

At the end of the day, there are myriad ways to pamper yourself with more youthful and healthy skin. While it’s easy to focus on finding the right facial cleansers or body lotions, your hands deserve just as much TLC, if not more!

With its luxurious blend of good-for-you ingredients, Red Aspen Hand Cream is the perfect way to restore moisture to your hands and leave your skin feeling silky smooth and buttery soft. Best of all, you get quality care for your nails and cuticles, with a product that blends seamlessly into your everyday skincare routine. How to Apply Dash Press On Nails

Gather Your Supplies

Here’s what you’ll need to transform your nails with press-ons:

  • Nail polish remover
  • Nail clippers
  • Nail file
  • Nail buffer
  • Cuticle pusher stick
  • A bowl of warm water
  • Rubbing alcohol and cotton rounds
  • Nail glue
  • A press-on nail set, Red Aspen Nail Dashes kit (which comes with 24 nails as well as a cuticle stick, a buffer/file combo, nail glue, and a silver mat)

Prepare Your Nails

Preparing your nail beds and cuticles before applying your press-on nails will ensure that the final result looks as clean and natural as possible. It will also help your manicure last longer.

Clean Your Nails

Start by removing any existing nail polish, then washing and drying your hands so they’re free of any oils or other residues.

Clean Up Your Cuticles

Next, soak your nails in a bowl of warm water for several minutes to soften your cuticles. Then push your cuticles back with a cuticle pusher stick.

Trim, File, and Buff Your Nails

At this point, trim and/or file your nails down. Two Sided Nail File Grit

In addition, use your Nail Buffer to gently buff the surface of your nails and smooth out any ridges or uneven areas and ensure your nails are perfectly pristine palettes.

Wipe Nails

To remove excess oil from your nail beds, wipe them down with rubbing alcohol or our Nail Prep Pads and let it fully evaporate. This will ensure maximum adhesion and staying power of the nail glue you’re about to apply.

Choose 10 Press-Ons That Fit Your Nail Beds

Red Aspen Nail Dashes

Before you start applying individual press-ons to each nail, be sure to set aside ten press-ons that fit your natural nails so they’re ready to go once you begin the (somewhat time-sensitive) application step.

Apply Nail Glue and Press-On Nails

Starting from your pinkies and working your way toward your thumbs, glue down each nail one by one. For each nail, apply the nail glue to each of your natural nails and (depending on how long you intend to wear them) the back of your press-on nails. The Nail Dashes come with a little nail glue pen, but I suggest you get the Brush On Glue.

Here’s how much glue to use, depending on how long you plan to wear your press-ons:

  • 1-3 days: Apply a thin line of glue from the natural nail, cuticle to tip
  • 4-6 days: Apply a pearl-sized dot of glue to the natural nail
  • 7-14 days: Apply a thin layer of glue to the back of the press-on nail and a pea size dot of glue to the natural nail

Allow the glue to dry for several seconds, and then begin applying by aligning the base of each press-on nail with the cuticle and applying them at a 45-degree angle. Press down on each nail firmly for 30 seconds to keep it in place.

Customize Your Nails

The press-ons you’re using may already be an ideal length and shape for you, or you might need to take off some length and/or shape the nails a bit to truly customize your manicure. You can even add additional nail art to your press-ons, if desired. This is the best tool ever! I always used one in my 30+ years of being a Nail Technician. Nail Reshaper

Considering the Right Press-on Nail Shape for You

Beauty is all about experimenting. No matter what kind of look you’re going for, there’s no denying the rush of finding all sorts of fun and flirty things to try with your hair, makeup, or nails. For nails specifically, researching different nail styles can be pretty daunting, especially when you’ve got your eye on something semi-permanent (two weeks is longer than some relationships, after all!).

With so many women opting for that little something extra in professional nail care, it’s easy to wonder if your nails will look just as good as what you see on social media or TV. Not only that, but what if you don’t really know your ideal “nail shape”? What if all those different options genuinely make your head spin?

Here we’ll tackle all your toughest questions about nail lengths and nail sizing, with some helpful tips so you can choose the best press-on nail shape for you. Let’s get started!

Why is Press-on Nail Shape Important?

Think about it – when you put money aside for that perfect manicure, you probably have a good idea of the kind of look you’re going for. You’ve settled on a color, likely matched it in your mind to some killer outfits, and there’s a good chance you’ve picked something super fun and season-appropriate.

These are no easy decisions, especially when there are so many cute, complementary styles to choose from! That being said, certain nail shapes can affect the overall look of your manicure. In fact, your ideal nail shape will largely depend on the length and shape of your fingers. Certain nail shapes will make your fingers look longer, while others will make them appear wider or more natural.

Why is Press-on Nail Length Important?

Like nail shape, nail length is important to consider when browsing a cute collection of press-on nails. In fact, your lifestyle plays a significant role in what nail length might be a better fit for you. For instance, if you’re someone who enjoys attending lots of weddings, birthday celebrations, or formal events, then longer nails will suit those occasions perfectly and help elevate those looks.

On the flip side, if you’re putting long hours in at the gym, hiking with your besties, or adventuring outdoors on the weekends, then longer nails might just break or get in the way, making shorter nails a better fit to your needs. To add to this, if your job requires lots of typing or you enjoy cooking more often, then longer nails might not be ideal when it’s time to write up reports or wash the dishes.

Whatever your lifestyle, it’s important to know which nail shapes complement your everyday grind the most. Sure you can experiment, but take a few moments to think about how often you want to switch things up. After all, with so many cute options for long, short, and medium nails, you don’t have to settle for just one!

What are the Different Press-on Nail Shapes?

Whether you’re a seasoned pro at all things nails or a total newbie, it’s never too late to learn about all the different nail shapes and how you can use that info for some seriously great looks! Here’s everything you need to know about short nail shapes, long nail shapes, and all the fun options in between!

The Skinny on Short Nails

As one of the easiest nail shapes to maintain and experiment with, short nails are also the most practical for a lot of women. They don’t trap dirt as easily, and they won’t break off or get tangled in your hair or clothes anytime soon. Here’s the skinny on some of the most popular short nail designs worth checking out.

Round Nails

If you’re new to the nail game, you can never go wrong with a classic, cute round nail shape. Not only are they easy to wear, but they’re comfortable, look natural, and they don’t get in the way of trying to use your phone! You can opt for a French manicure, or go for something more artistic and complicated. The sky’s the limit!

Best of all, short round nail styles are perfect for pretty much any occasion, whether it’s something work-related, school fashion, or a get-together with friends. If your fingers are naturally shorter with wide nail beds, then round nails are an easy choice to make them look longer.

When you’re looking for something beautifully simple and versatile, square nails are a clear winner. Not only do they evoke that classic sense of golden-age Hollywood glamor, but there’s a subtle drama and minimalism to square nails that you can’t help but love.

They make your fingers appear slimmer, and you can easily trim the nails down to your preferred length whenever needed. If you’re the type of girl who loves to play around with different nail styles, polish colors, and designs, square nails will feel like your perfect match. They’re suitable for just about any setting, be it a corporate meeting, a formal dinner, or a fun night out on the town!

When Medium Nails Make the Most Sense

If you’re a girl looking for a good mix of performance and style, then medium nails might make the most sense for you. Not only that, but medium nails tend to add a bit more drama to the mix, as they’re not only adventurous but glamorous enough to help you make a statement when it matters most. Here are a few of the more popular medium nail styles worth your consideration.

Squoval Nails

Named after its square + oval shape, a squoval nail shape just so happens to be the way most peoples’ nails naturally grow. This makes squoval nails flattering on just about anyone, with an easy-to-maintain reputation that definitely helps when you’re not quite sure what you’re looking for.

When worn short, the nails appear more natural. Given the softer edges, squoval nails are also perfect if you happen to work with or spend a lot of time around children.

Oval Nails

For those wanting a bit more high glamor, an oval nail shape is an easy choice. Not only does it scream femininity, but you’ll adore how elegant your hands look afterward. Oval nails are also great for women who are curious to try longer nail sizes without going over the top, meaning you get the best of both worlds. It’s a win-win!

That being said, it’s important to remember hygienic factors when experimenting with longer nails. As always, longer nails tend to trap dirt and grit beneath them more easily, meaning you’ll want to keep up with daily cleaning and maintenance. The right nail-cleaning accessories make all the difference, so make sure your purse is packed with a cuticle remover, mani and pedi nail clippers, and nail reshaper tools.

Long Live Long Nails

Not only are long nails bold, striking, and impossible to ignore, but they’re super trendy right now. While they definitely require more maintenance than short nails or medium nails, the tradeoff is often worth it, especially when you want to make a statement. Here are some of the hottest, sexiest long nail styles worth your time at the moment.

Almond Nails

Worn either medium-length to long, almond nails are another feminine shape that serves to elongate your fingers, making them appear slimmer in the process. This effect is increased the longer the nail is, though it’s not quite as pronounced as a stiletto nail or coffin nail.

Like other longer nail types, you may find things like typing difficult if you opt for an almond nail. While you can certainly adapt, it’s important to note that they’re a sophisticated style that might come with a few lifestyle changes depending on how long you wish to keep them.

Stiletto Nails

Characterized by their sharp, pointed tips, stiletto nails have become super popular with women who wish to make a bold, dramatic statement, mimicking that favorite, strappy pair of stiletto heels. Worn by celebrities and fashion icons all over the world, they’re an ideal choice for special events, requiring a certain amount of length to achieve the desired shape.

Like most fun nail styles, stiletto nails can come in a variety of striking colors and patterns. Designers tend to let their imaginations run wild, with glitter, rhinestones, and other exciting ideas taking center stage. As beautiful as they are, however, it should be noted that much like stiletto heels, stiletto nails are very high-maintenance. With such precariously pointy tips, they’re meant for women who don’t mind the extra, extra care needed to keep them looking their best.

Coffin Nails

With a length that can only be described as dramatic, coffin nails are purely for those who embrace that long, feminine nail look. When painted in nude or neutral tones, they give off the ultimate finger-slimming effect, with celebrities like Rhianna and Khloe Kardashian popularizing the trend all over television, TikTok, and Instagram.

Perfect for special occasions like prom, girls’ trips, and other big events, coffin nails are easy to experiment with, especially once you dive into the exciting world of high-quality Nail Dashes!

Ballerina Nails

As a beloved look that’s been trending for years now, ballerina nails are known for their triangular shape resembling the tip of a ballerina pointe shoe. This makes them similar to almond nails, often looking best on medium to longer nails.

Not only do they also look great as French tips, but they can easily complement a variety of fun, flirty outfits. Like other long nail styles though, it’s important to remember that ballerina nails require a bit of extra maintenance compared to something shorter.

Take a Look at a Nail Length Chart

With so much info to consider about different nail shapes and lengths, you might be wondering if you need to be some sort of beauty expert to figure out what nail styles and shapes would look the best on you. The truth is, you don’t need to be a certified nail technician to pick your perfect looks. In fact, a quick glance at a nails length chart can often answer your most pressing questions right away!

Plus, if you’ve never done anything with your natural nails before, the extra visual will likely help! You’ll have tons of handy information about which nails properly suit your unique features, and you can use that info to get a second, more educated opinion at the nail salon. After all, the goal is not only to look your best, but feel your best about the money and time spent! Knowledge is power, and you’re killin’ it either way!
