About Me

The many hats worn by Bev:

First, I will start with the fact that I’m a nail tech and have been since 1987. (Wow, I’m old!)  It was one of those moments when I was getting my nails done and thought to myself, “I could do this”.  SO I DID!  Started my own business a year later and called it “Fingerprints Nail Salon.”  I’m still doing them part time in my home.  UPDATE!!  Retired November 2018

I’ve been scrapbooking since I can remember, you know, the big bulky book and tons of memorabilia?  Then I was introduced to “Creative Memories”.   I became a “Creative Memories” Consultant in 1998, held scrapbook classes and ventured into card making as well.  In 2007, after things started going digital, I finally dove in, kicking and screaming the whole way.  I got myself a laptop, and started searching around and found all kinds of awesome Digital Scrapbook Stores that had forums with scrapbook page challenges, awesome scrapbook kits to work with as well.   Then, that moment came again when I thought to myself, “I could do this”.  SO I DID!  I opened up my own scrapbook store in 2008, “Digital Scrapbook Mania” and start creating kits myself.  A friend and I later purchased “Scrapable” and merged the two stores.

I found tons of CU stores to purchase all my supplies to create kits, open up a forum, hired other designers to join my store and it went on from there.  What I found was I really enjoyed making items from templates.  GS Creations was my favorite go to designer.  I started purchasing everything she had.  While working with her templates I started creating “Styles” in Photoshop to bring those templates to life.  I so badly wanted to learn how to make these templates myself, but really had no idea where to start.  So, I started searching the internet, purchase Photoshop Illustrator, taught myself how to use it through YouTube and finally said, “I can do this”.  SO I DID.   I closed “Scrapable”, when Sara aka “Pardon The Mess” and I opened up ScrapSeeds in 2013.   With it being a Commercial Use store only, I decided to open a Personal Use Store on Etsy where I sell all the kits I made.  UPDATE!  We closed ScrapSeeds and I join the team at CU Digitals.

Backing up a little, in 2006, my boyfriend took over his dad’s construction business, which we set up the office here at home.  So, I manage the office as well.

I also have another Etsy store called “NewE Creative Gifts” where I sell my handmade items.  Or, you can visit my Facebook Page to see more of the items I make.
